S. Satyamurthi (19 August 1887-28 March 1943) was a famous revolutionary and politician. Satyamurthy was born in Thirumam, Pudukkhuui, British Bharat. He graduated from Madras Ely College. He had entered politics in an early age. After winning the college elections, emerge as the prominent leader of the Indian National Congress, he was known for his honesty, ethnic, creed, religion, belief in equality and in his belief in parliamentary democracy. They protested against the practice of Hinduism, they participated in many freedom movements, due to which they had to go to jail many times. Satyamurthy participated in Civil Disobedience Movement in 1930, due to which he was jailed in 1931-32. In 1940, he participated in the Sampraday movement and went to jail again. After that he also participated in the Quit India Movement, which also went to jail. Satyamurthy was a great poet, and he was the master of the famous politician and art of politics. Satyamurthy was many time arrested by the British government and was sent to jail. It died on March 28, 1943 due to heart failure.
